If you work or play where your binoculars will constantly be getting wet (even possibly being submerged), it may be worth thinking about a waterproof pair of binoculars. A good pair of waterproof binoculars will also be 'nitrogen charged'. This means that all of the air inside the binocular has been replaced by nitrogen. It stops the binoculars fogging when subject to changes of temperature. As there is no air inside the binocular, there is no water vapour to condense on the lenses and prisms inside. Most modern binoculars are water resistant. They will survive the British weather. As you are viewing the products on the website look out for the following image |
